AI has the potential to accelerate sustainable transformation, but technology alone won’t create a better future. The real opportunity lies in how we use it to rethink business models, redesign systems and turn sustainability into lasting business value.

Join Women@Artefact x CSR for an inspiring afterwork session with Marianne van Leeuwen, Sustainable Innovation Leader, exploring what it takes to build more sustainable, resilient and future-proof businesses in an AI-enabled world.

Rather than treating sustainability as an overwhelming transformation that needs to happen overnight, Marianne will share lessons from her own journey, from more than 25 years in digital innovation to working at the intersection of technology, circularity and sustainable change.

How can you start making a meaningful difference without changing everything at once?
Where can AI and technology accelerate sustainable transformation?
And how can sustainability become a strategic advantage rather than simply an obligation?

17:45 – 18:15 | Navigating Sustainability in an AI-Enabled World
Keynote by Marianne van Leeuwen

Marianne takes us beyond generic sustainability promises to explore what meaningful, strategic change looks like in practice. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in digital innovation and her personal journey into sustainable technology, she will show how organisations can move beyond the traditional “take-make-waste” model towards more circular and regenerative businesses. From operations and supply chains to products and business models, the session explores how technology and AI can enable systemic change, scale sustainable solutions and measure progress. Most importantly, Marianne will demonstrate why transformation doesn’t require an overnight overhaul: starting small, learning and building momentum can lay the foundations for lasting change, making sustainability strategic, scalable and commercially relevant.
