André Hoffman (MBA 90D) is Vice-Chairman of Roche, Co-Chairman of the World Economic Forum, and long-standing advocate for business as a force for good.

Roche Holding AG is amongst the world’s leading innovative pharmaceutical companies which was established in 1896 by André’s great-grandfather. André’s also serves on the board of its fully owned subsidiary, Genentech Inc. Additionally he is co-chair of the World Economic Forum; a board member of SystemIQ that drives positive disruption in economic systems and President of W.A. de Vigier Stiftung and Vice Chair of the Venture Foundation.

Together with his wife Rosalie, André is co-chair of InTent, a platform which aims to accelerate sustainable solutions. André has a distinguished record in nature conservation and sustainability. He is the President of Fondation Tour du Valat, a world renowned institute dedicated to wetland conservation, Chairman of Capitals Coalition, and serves on the boards of B-Team, Peace Parcs and the Givaudan Foundation.

Drawing from André’s recent well acclaimed book “The New Nature of Business” that distils his extra-ordinary experiences and perspectives, the conversation will explore the intersection of innovation, investment, corporate governance, long-term value creation and intergenerational wealth.
